Bobby D buried a very playable (and fun) version of Asteroids, the arcade version, in his port of Asteroids Deluxe for the Prosystem. This version includes arcade sound that is more accurate to the 1979 game, vector-style graphics, replacing the shield with hyperwarp, and the removal of Killer Satellite. All multi-player and difficulty levels from the original 7800 Asteroids port is included.
This works on the original 7800 hardware with the Atari Age version of this game. For a slightly different way to unclock the hidden game for the 7800+ and Atari's official release of the game- watch the video.
To unlock Arcade Asteroids:
1) Insert Asteroid Deluxe for the Atari 7800 into the Prosystem
2) Power the game on
3) While the game boots up with the Atari logo, press and hold Pause.
4) If done correctly, "Asteroids" show be displayed on the menu screen instead of "Asteroids Deluxe"
